Curriculum Overviews

Below you will find each department's Curriculum Overview. Subject leaders at Herschel have spent a considerable amount of time, reviewing and refining the what, when and why of learning.

The curriculum overview sets out the departments' curriculum intent, its rationale for the sequencing of learning and the intended outcomes from the learning that has taken place.

In essence, it provides a roadmap for learning across the Key Stages.  It allows our learners to see how the learning builds, to be able to look back over prior learning and prepare for future learning and to spot both cross-curricular and wider-curricular links.

Each curriculum overview summarises the learning that will take place across the 2, 3, 5 or 7 years of learning.
